Statewide Survey Seeks to Capture Information on School Data Use

On behalf of the ODE, Hezel Associates is conducting a short online survey of school administrators and teachers in grades 3-12 about data use. The feedback will help Ohio's D3A2 better meet the data and resource needs of administrators and teachers. It takes about 15 minutes to complete the survey; the questions are applicable regardless of whether your district is using D3A2 or the level of D3A2 use.

Teachers can click here and Administrators can click here.

Completed surveys are requested by May 9. Thank you for participating. Survey information will benefit all of us who are working to encourage educators to practice data-based decision making.

Welcome To The 8th Annual National Charter Schools Conference

Registration for the 2008 National Charter Schools Conference is officially open!

As you know, the conference is the only national gathering of the entire charter school community. This year's conference is June 22-25 in New Orleans, LA, and we're expecting over 3,000 movers and shakers: teachers, principals, policymakers, state leaders, funders, advocates, researchers.....every branch of our expanding charter-school family.

"Still We Rise: Achieving Academic Excellence at Scale" is the conference theme, reflecting the growth of quality public charter schools across America. Our theme has special resonance in New Orleans, which boasts the nation's largest percentage of public charter school enrollment. New Orleans' charter schools are not only spurring a new dawn of academic excellence, but are also providing a great boost to the growth and recovery of the Crescent City.
